Dutch side Feyenoord have reportedly made an official bid to sign Manchester City striker John Guidetti.
The Swede, who is on loan at Scottish Premiership champions Celtic, is out of contract at the Etihad this summer.
Parkhead boss Ronny Deila has said he wants the 22-year-old, who has also attracted interest from Inter Milan and Marseille, to join Celtic permanently.
But reports in Holland say the Eredivisie side have made the first move after technical director Martin van Geel flew into Glasgow and watched the striker play in the recent 4-0 win over Aberdeen.
“We want the best squad and if that’s possible with Guidetti, it would be nice," he said.
“It’s definitely an option. We’ll do all we can to make it happen.”
Guidetti spent the 2011-12 season on loan at Feyenoord from Manchester City and scored 20 goals.
