Everton duo Francisco Junior and Jonjoe Kenny have joined Sky Bet League 1 club Wigan on loan.
The pair were both in the Latics XI that started against Partick in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday, along with trialist John Lundstram.
Midfielder Junior, who came through the ranks at Benfica, will spend the next month with Latics while defender Kenny has penned terms on a two-month stay.
"In both cases, it's up to the players to impress us and create the competition in the squad which every successful team needs, and then we will assess their progress," boss Gary Caldwell told the club's official website.
Lundstram saw a move to fellow League 1 club Crewe collapse this summer but Latics are in the process of an overhaul of their squad following relegation from the second tier.
