Bradford have signed former Liverpool goalkeeper Brad Jones on a free transfer.

The 33-year-old Australian, who left Anfield earlier this summer, has put pen to paper on a one-year contract.

His arrival ends manager Phil Parkinson's search for a goalkeeper. Bradford missed out on Chris Kirkland, who joined Preston last week instead, and opted not to offer Jussi Jaaskelainen a contract following his recent trial.

Jones made a total of 27 appearances for Liverpool last season and appeared on seven occasions for Derby while on loan at the IPro Stadium during March.

The Australia international spent five years at Liverpool after being signed from Middlesbrough for £2.3million in August 2010.
