West Brom winger Callum McManaman insists there is no need to panic despite the Baggies' winless start to the season.

Albion have picked up only one point from their first three matches, leaving them bottom of the early Premier League table.

However, McManaman believes it is only a matter of time before they break their duck after being encouraged by their performance in Sunday's 3-2 home defeat to Chelsea.

Next up for West Brom is a home tie against Port Vale in the Capital One Cup second round on Tuesday.

"I think once we find our first win, we will go on a run and win a few games," McManaman said.

"We showed against Chelsea that we can compete with the better teams in this league and that gives us plenty of confidence.

"We obviously want to get points on the board as quickly as we can.

"The squad is gelling together really well. I think once we have got ourselves sorted defensively as a team that will help massively.

"The new players have come in and settled really well which is obviously great for us.

"It's pleasing to know we played so well against the champions.

"We caused them plenty of problems before and after the (John Terry) red card.

"If you let in three goals in any game it's going to cost you points but you just can't do that against Chelsea, it killed us in the first half."
