With the help of Opta, we round up the best facts and figures from the Premier League on Boxing Day...

Everton have lost just one of their last eight Premier League meetings with Newcastle (W6 D1 L1).

Tom Cleverley scored his first Premier League goal for Everton in his ninth appearance in the competition. He also scored his first league goal for Manchester United against Newcastle.

Roberto Martinez's men have scored a league-high 10 goals in the final 15 minutes of games this season.

Everton have scored a joint league-high eight headed goals this season (level with West Brom).

Manchester United have lost four competitive matches in a row within a single season for the first time since October-November 1961. The defeat to Stoke was the first time they have lost a Premier League game on Boxing Day since 2002 (1-3 at Middlesbrough) and only for the second time overall in the competition (P22 W18 D2 L2).

Louis van Gaal's side have averaged just 1.22 goals per game in the league this season (22 goals in 18 games); Manchester United's lowest average in a league campaign since 1989-90 (1.21).

Stoke City have kept a clean sheet in eight of their last 11 Premier League games.

Aston Villa are now winless in 17 Premier League games - only four teams have ever had a longer such run in the division (Derby 32, Sunderland 26, Norwich 21 and Nottingham Forest 19 - QPR also had a run of 17).

West Ham have recorded five successive top flight draws for the first time since October 1968.

Aaron Cresswell scored his first Premier League goal since April and his first for the Hammers away from Upton Park.

Aston Villa have won just one of their last 15 games on Boxing Day (W1 D5 L9).

Jordan Ayew has now scored in five of his last nine league games for Aston Villa (five goals).

The Hammers have earned 16 points on the road so far this season, the same tally as they had won in the whole of last season.

Bournemouth are now unbeaten in six Premier League matches (W3 D3).

Eddie Howe's side kept their third clean sheet of the season and only their second at home.

Palace are unbeaten in five Premier League games, their best run since April 2014.

Crystal Palace have won 36 away points in 2015 (W11 D3 L4); only Arsenal have won more on the road this calendar year in the Premier League.

Bournemouth have lost only one of their last nine Boxing Day matches (W5 D3 L1), a run that has seen them play in all four tiers of English football.

The Cherries ended a run of 29 league games without a goalless draw, since their game against Blackburn in February.

This was also the first goalless draw that Crystal Palace have been involved in on the road since New Years' Day 2015 - the last game before Pardew took over.

Chelsea are unbeaten in the Premier League on Boxing Day since 2003, winning six and drawing five matches since then.

Watford have won just two of their last 14 league matches played on Boxing Day (W2 D5 L7).

The Hornets have already won more points in 2015/16 than in either of their previous two Premier League campaign (29).

Diego Costa scored his first Premier League brace since January 17 versus Swansea City and it was only the second time that he'd scored more than once in a single Premier League game at Stamford Bridge.

Willian - who assisted Costa's second goal - has had a hand in 10 goals in all competitions for Chelsea this season (seven goals, three assists); three more than any other player.

Odion Ighalo is the first Watford player to score in five successive top-flight games.

Troy Deeney has been directly involved in six goals in his last seven Premier League appearances (five goals, one assist).

Deeney's strike was Watford's first goal at Stamford Bridge since Allan Smart in February 2000 - they had failed to score in their last four competitive trips there.

Leicester failed to score in a game for the first time in the Premier League this season.

Liverpool are unbeaten in their last seven league games against the Foxes (W5 D2).

The Reds are also unbeaten at home in the Premier League on Boxing Day (W6 D3).

Claudio Ranieri's side lost their first away match of the season, last losing on the road in the Premier League in March (3-4 vs Tottenham).

Leicester have won just one of their last 11 top-flight Boxing Day fixtures (W1 D3 L7).

Liverpool kept their first clean sheet in the Premier League since November, having conceded at least twice in each of their last three fixtures before today.

Manchester City have won 16 of their 20 Premier League home games in 2015 (D1 L3).

The Black Cats have won only two of their last 11 Premier League Boxing Day matches (D4 L5).

Manchester City have only lost one of their last nine Premier League fixtures on Boxing Day (W7 D1 L1). They have conceded in eight consecutive home league games for the first time since October 1991 (13 games).

Sunderland have conceded 16 goals in their last five Premier League away games (3.2 per game).

Kevin De Bruyne has been directly involved in 17 goals in 13 appearances in all competitions for the Citizens on home soil (eight goals, nine assists).

Wilfried Bony has scored in four of his last six appearances for Man City in all competitions.

Seven of Raheem Sterling's nine goals in all competitions for Man City have arrived at the Etihad (78%).

Ki is just the fifth different player to score for the Swans in the league this season.

This was only the third game that Swansea have found the net in, in their last eight Premier League matches.

The Baggies have gone five successive Premier League games without a win for the first time under Tony Pulis (D3 L2).

There have only been three goals scored across the four Premier League Boxing Day fixtures featuring Swansea City.

Swansea registered their first win in eight Premier League games (W1 D2 L5).

West Brom have won only one of their 10 Premier League Boxing Day matches (W1 D2 L7).

Harry Kane has scored 10 goals in his last nine Premier League games for Spurs.

The England striker has bagged 27 Premier League goals in 2015, more than any other player.

Kane scored with both of his two shots on target in the game.

Dele Alli has scored or assisted five goals in his last five Premier League games (two goals, three assists).

Tom Carroll bagged his first-ever Premier League goal in his 28th appearance in the competition, coming over three years since his debut in the competition (3 November, 2012).

Norwich City have never won a Premier League game on Boxing Day (W0 D1 L5).

The Canaries have conceded a joint-league-high four penalty goals in the Premier League this season (alongside Bournemouth and Sunderland).

Spurs have won 18 and lost none of their last 20 Premier League meetings with newly-promoted opposition since losing to QPR in April 2012.

Since defeating Spurs at White Hart Lane in April 2012 (2-1), Norwich City have failed to win any of their last 16 Premier League away trips to London (L10 D6).

Arsenal have lost two successive league meetings with Southampton for the first time since April 1988.

Prior to Southampton's two league wins against Arsenal in 2015, Saints had won just two of their last 26 league meetings with the Gunners (W2 D9 L15).

Cuco Martina was the first player from Curaçao to score a Premier League goal - 93 different nationalities have now scored in the competition.

Arsenal have conceded five Premier League goals from outside the box in 2015-16 so far; two more than in the whole of 2014-15 (3).

Sadio Mané has six assists in 18 Premier League appearances this season; twice as many as he had in 30 Premier League last season (3).

Shane Long has scored five and assisted two more goals in his last seven Premier League starts for Southampton.

This was Arsenal's heaviest Premier League defeat since a 0-6 away reverse at Chelsea in March 2014.
