Coventry insist they are yet to receive an approach from Rotherham for manager Tony Mowbray.

The Sky Blues boss has been linked with the Millers job along with Hibernian chief Alan Stubbs as Rotherham look for Neil Warnock's replacement.

Former Celtic manager Mowbray has been at the Ricoh Arena since March 2015.

Sky Blues managing director Chris Anderson told the Coventry Telegraph: "No approach has been made by anyone for the services of our manager."

Mowbray has won 24 of his 63 games in charge, losing 21 and drawing 18 and remains popular within the Sky Blues dressing room, despite the club blowing their chance of promotion.

Coventry were top in November but won just three games in four months to drop out of the top six and eventually finished eighth in Sky Bet League One.

Rotherham chairman Tony Stewart has confirmed Hibs boss Stubbs is on their shortlist and the 44-year-old has a year left on his contract at Easter Road.
