England fans believed to have been involved in violence during Euro 2016 have been identified following an appeal.

The appeal by UK's Football Policing Unit was set up after serious violence on June 11 in Marseille when England played Russia in their opening match.

People were asked to identify a number of suspected hooligans who could be seen in footage throwing bottles and chairs. The names of 56 fans have now arisen from this.

Two England fans were left in a coma after being attacked during the trouble. They have since flown home and are being treated in hospital.

The UK Football Policing Unit investigation team gathered lots of moving and still images from the disorder in France.

This evidence was collected by English and French police football spotters in Marseille and showed large-scale clashes between the two sets of supporters.
