With the British and Irish Lions tour kicking off this weekend, we've picked an all-time Premier League XI if football had adopted the same concept.
The team combines players from England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
But touring with the Lions requires as much guts as it does talent - and we've aimed for a starting XI which features some of the toughest players to grace the Premier League.
That's why Tony Adams is captain, while Roy Keane (who would have a few choice words about his claim for the armband) and Alan Shearer's presence means there are leaders running right through the team.
David Seaman edges it for us in goal, though Shay Given and Welshman Neville Southall give him a run for his money.
Gary Neville and Denis Irwin were our chosen full-backs, with Ashley Cole narrowly missing out due to Irwin's ability to take penalties - a key skill for any Lions touring team.
There were a host of central midfielders to choose from to play in front of Keane, but we've plumped for Steven Gerrard and Paul Scholes ahead of Frank Lampard. We imagine manager Sir Alex Ferguson - flying the flag for Scotland - would have ended the Gerrard-Lampard debate by opting to drop one entirely...
And finally, playing either side of Shearer are the Welsh wizards, Gareth Bale and Ryan Giggs.
We've missed a host of players, and feel like honourable mentions should go to David Healy for his exploits with Northern Ireland, as well as a number of English strikers who haven't made our bench - including Ian Wright, Robbie Fowler and Michael Owen, to name but a few.
