Luka Modric produced a superb turn to escape Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes in Real Madrid’s Spanish Super Cup victory.
Marco Asensio, who started in place of the banned Cristiano Ronaldo, opened the scoring and Karim Benzema added Real's second shortly before half-time.
Modric missed the first leg at the Nou Camp through suspension but started on Wednesday and caught the eye.
One particular play summed up his performance when, on 37 minutes, he evaded Barca midfielder Gomes with a neat control and turn.
