Brendan Rodgers believes it would have been a "crime" if Hibernian scored a late winner against Celtic on Sunday.
Celtic threw away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Hibs, who almost stole victory in injury time at Easter Road.
However, after scoring the equaliser in the 79th minute, Oliver Shaw saw his effort blocked by Mikael Lustig.
The draw saw Celtic extend their unbeaten domestic run to 68 games and open up a five-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership, although Rodgers was left ruing a missed opportunity.
"It's two points dropped, for sure. We were very good for up to 70-odd minutes of the game, our defending was good and we created chances," Rodgers told Sky Sports.
"We were 2-0 up and it could have been four or five, and then we stopped passing it. We stopped moving and let them into the game.
"At 2-0 they had nothing to lose so they had the momentum after the first goal. At the end they had a chance to score, and if they'd won that game it would have been a crime.
"But for us the crime is not so much conceding the two goals, because I felt we were the better team. However, you have to ensure you close these games out when you're in front."
Meanwhile, Hibs boss Neil Lennon was pleased with the way his side recovered after going down to two Scott Sinclair goals, although he was not entirely convinced with the performance until Efe Ambrose reduced the deficit.
"I'm really happy with the result, I'm not happy with the performance. In the second half, we started to look physically weaker, and the subs gave us a lift," Lennon said.
"We showed great character to come back into the game. I was happy enough at half-time but we were the architects of our own downfall.
"In the second half we sat off them a little bit, and lost the physical battle on times, but we rejuvenated ourselves well.
"We were playing against a class outfit, we could have ended up winning the game, but we could have lost the game also. I have to be satisfied with a point."
