Huddersfield striker Elias Kachunga has been ruled out for up to 12 weeks with a knee ligament injury.

Kachunga opened the scoring with his first Premier League strike in the 4-1 win at Watford on Saturday, but was then stretchered off the pitch in the 19th minute after a collision with Hornets goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes.

Huddersfield revealed on their website that scans confirmed the 25-year-old DR Congo international has damaged his medial collateral ligament, and he is expected to be sidelined for between eight and 12 weeks.
