Royals boss Rodgers confirms approach from Prem club

Reading boss Brendan Rodgers has revealed midfielder James Harper has held talks with Wolverhampton Wanderers over a potential move. Harper was linked with a switch to Middlesbrough in the winter transfer window but a deal failed to materialise and he remained with the Royals. However, Premier League new boys Wolves have since opened their interest in his services and are in discussions over a possible deal. Rodgers told the Reading Chronicle: "He travelled up to meet with Mick (McCarthy). There is interest there. He went up to speak to them yesterday but now he is back training with us. "He spoke to Mick and they are keen to get him but at the moment it is still in the balance." Harper joined Reading from Arsenal in 2001 and has since made 309 league appearances for the side.
