Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock is hopeful he can add new faces to his squad after the Football League lifted the club's transfer embargo.
The Eagles were hit with the embargo by the Football League over a financial dispute, but those issues have now been settled meaning Warnock can dive into the transfer market ahead of next week's deadline.
"We've got a couple of lads we've been monitoring and we play on Monday night at Peterborough, so it would be nice to get a new face in and give everybody a lift," Warnock told
Sky Sports News.
With the green light given for Warnock to resume his transfer dealings, Palace can now complete the imminent signings of Derby defender Claude Davis and Millwall winger Ryan Smith.
"Hopefully, we're hoping both of those will be involved (next week). We've got a work permit hearing on Friday with Claude so we're optimistic that can go through and we can get on with it."
The Palace boss is also in the market for a striker and while he has not identified a specific target, he admits that he has a few players in mind.
"We've got one or two irons but it's been difficult at the moment, obviously it's been more difficult that we couldn't go and sign someone because of the embargo
"But the chairman has been fabulous, he's said to me he's going to do whatever he could and he has done. So hopefully now we can bring an extra player in."

Meanwhile, Warnock has laughed off reports linking in-demand Palace winger Victor Moses with a move to the Premier League.
The 18-year-old is reportedly being monitored by the nation's elite clubs after a string of impressive displays while also establishing himself as a regular England Under-19 performer, but Warnock denies any bids have been made.
"I've not had any offers, obviously there's been speculation in the newspapers," said Warnock.
"I laughed this week - Wigan were going to pay £4million and loan him back to us. Does anyone in their right mind think Wigan would pay £4million for a player then loan him back to us? It doesn't make sense does it?"
The Eagles host big-spenders Manchester City on Thursday night in the Carling Cup second round as Warnock plans to unleash some of his young starlets and insists they will be out to impress.
"I think Thursday night against Man City, some of the young lads we've got could play at Premier League level and it'll be very, very good," he said.
"Who is to say a good game against Man City on Thursday, even Man City might be interested let alone one or two of the other Premier League clubs."
