Wolfsburg striker unhappy with coach's decision to substitute him

Wolfsburg striker Grafite has called on coach Armin Veh to show him more respect after he was substituted against Bochum. Grafite was replaced by Obafemi Martins early in the second half of Saturday's 1-1 draw at Bochum and he was unhappy with the decision. The Brazilian has been substituted on several occasions this season and last term's German Footballer of the Year feels he deserves more respect from his boss. He said: "This is the fifth game in which I have been substituted and today it happened as early as the 52nd minute. "Five minutes in the second half is too little. "I am not a young boy any more. I have a history at this club and deserve a bit more respect."

Problem

However, Veh has responded to Grafite's comments by insisting that the hit-man should be thankful he is still being picked. Though Grafite scored a hat-trick in the UEFA Champions League against CSKA Moscow, he has netted just twice in eight Bundesliga games this term to leave Veh questioning the player's form. "I keep picking him even though he is not playing well," said Veh. "If he really has said that, then he will have a problem. "The coach does the talking here, not the players."
