Agent admits forward could leave if an 'interesting offer' was made

Adrian Mutu would consider a move away from Fiorentina in the January transfer window, according to his agent Giovanni Becali. The 30-year-old has flourished for La Viola since signing from Juventus in summer 2006, but despite being happy in Florence, Becali admits the forward could have his head turned if an 'interesting offer' came his way. The Romania international has seen his efforts on the pitch this season overshadowed by events off the field after Fifa ordered the frontman to pay Chelsea over £15million in damages after he was banned for taking drugs in 2004. After having his appeal rejected by the Court of Arbitration for Sport Mutu has since had his fine suspended until the end of November by the Swiss Federal Court. "Mutu is happy in Florence, where he has a good contract," Becali told Radio Fiesole.

Evaluate

"But if an interesting offer arrives in January, for both the player and the club, we will evaluate it together. "However, now what's important is that he concludes happily the story with the fine and that he plays at the top level." Despite the suspension of the fine, until the end of November at least, Becali insists there is still more work to be done before Mutu is cleared altogether. "Adrian took the news well," he added. "But we are only talking about a suspension - not a decision. "We will see what happens at the end of November, but we are happy for the moment because we weren't expecting it."
