Brewers chief to take a look at striker

Burton Albion boss Paul Peschisolido has confirmed he has made an enquiry to sign Crewe Alexandra's transfer-listed striker Anthony Elding. Crewe have told Elding he can leave the club on loan or on a permanent basis after he slipped down to sixth choice in Dario Gradi's plans. Gradi revealed earlier this week that he had been contacted by Albion regarding the player's availability and Peschisolido plans to follow up his interest. Peschisolido confirmed: "I put a call in to Dario Gradi and left a message asking him to call me. "I did call to see what the player's situation is and have since spoken to (Crewe assistant manager) Neil Baker. "So, yes, we have asked about him and I may go and take a look at him when he next plays, which I am told will be in around two weeks' time." Elding is hoping to secure a move to a club in League One or Two, and has admitted an interest in joining Crewe's local rivals Port Vale.
