Keeper has knee op after Cervi is cleared by Uefa

Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc has undergone surgery on his injured knee and faces three weeks on the sidelines. Bhoys boss Tony Mowbray revealed the club were considering sending Boruc under the knife to clear up the problem, but that operation depended on Dominic Cervi getting clearance to be registered for the Europa League. Uefa have given Celtic allowance to include Cervi in their squad for the Europa League allowing Boruc to undergo the minor surgery. Boruc is expected to return to action for the game against Dundee United later this month. "We would not have agreed to Artur having the operation if the clearance for Dominic had not been granted," Mowbray told the Glasgow Evening Times. "Now the hope is Artur will be back in time for the league game against Dundee United in three weeks."
