O'Neill waiting on Milner ahead of trip to Upton Park

Aston Villa manager Martin O'Neill has a number of injury and suspension concerns ahead of Wednesday's trip to West Ham. The Villa boss saw Carlos Cuellar sent off for two bookings in the weekend draw with Everton, with replays suggesting the dismissal was harsh on the defender. England international James Milner was also forced off at half-time due to injury at Goodison Park to create worries for the midfielder. O'Neill is also set to hand a couple of other players, who he is not prepared to name, late fitness tests ahead of the trip to Upton Park. "We have a problem or two," he told Sky Sports News. "James Milner came off at half-time and of course Carlos Cuellar misses the game through very little fault of his own. He misses out through suspension.

Frustrated

"We have certainly got positions to concern ourselves with and we have got one or two others who we will give fitness tests to." O'Neill, whose side could move fourth in the Premier League with a win at West Ham, was frustrated to see Cuellar sent off, especially as it is not possible to appeal against the two yellow cards. He said: "I think that replays show that he has been severely dealt with. Considering that the second booking, he has actually got the ball. "The other one, it is an impossibility for him to get out of the way. He has made no attempt to really obstruct the play and tried to stop. "He was unfortunate with the first and really unlucky with the second."
