Barnet star Albert Adomah has turned down the club's offer of a new contract.
The highly-rated 21-year-old winger was offered the biggest deal in the club's history, but Adomah has turned the offer down as he hopes to secure a move to a higher level.
His agent Tony Finnigan has now confirmed that Adomah is looking to leave.
"Barnet made an excellent offer to the player, but he deserves a run at a higher level," his agent Finnigan told
skysports.com.
"He has made nearly 100 appearances for Barnet and has more than served his apprenticeship at League Two level, and has proved that he is more than capable of moving up."
Blackpool and Norwich both made bids for Adomah over the summer, whilst a host of clubs - including Premier League sides - are now monitoring him.
But Finnigan admits he would be more than happy to take him to Blackpool.
"I would love him to team up with my good friend Ian Holloway at Blackpool as he improves players, he knows how to get the best out of young players," added Finnigan.
Amicable
Barnet chairman Tony Kleanthous confirmed the club would not now stand in Adomah's way, should an acceptable offer be made.
"Although Albert has made it clear that he wants to move on, relations between the club and the player remain amicable. We respect his decision and reluctantly accept his position," insisted Kleanthous in a statement on the club's
official website.
"There is obviously a lot of interest in him and his stated decision to want to go could lead to a bidding war in January.
"We have made it clear, whether he signed the new offer or not, that if an offer comes in that is acceptable to the club and the player we would not stand in his way.
"Albert has done a great job for this club and we showed by our offer that we appreciate what he has done and our keenness for him to stay.
"Hopes are high that we might achieve success this season but, while this might be seen as a blow to our aspirations, we wish to make it quite clear that manager Ian Hendon will be given money to strengthen the squad if Adomah moves."
