City youngster hoping to seal Pittodrie move

Manchester City midfielder Paul Marshall has confirmed his desire to sign for Aberdeen after joining them on trial. Marshall, who had loan spells with Blackpool and Port Vale last season, is yet to make his first-team debut for City. The 19-year-old has now linked up with Mark McGhee's side on trial and is hopeful of impressing enough to win a transfer. Marshall had hoped to make it at the City of Manchester Stadium, but feels competition for places has made his task impossible. "I want to sign for Aberdeen because it is virtually impossible to break into the City team with the kind of money the club is spending," he told the Evening Express.
