Bhoys ace delighted with weekend winner

Celtic striker Marc-Antoine Fortune hopes his winner off the bench is the start of something new for him at Parkhead. The former West Brom striker was one the club's big-name summer arrivals, although his production has not matched his lofty £3.8million fee. Fortune bagged a brace in Celtic's 5-2 home success over St Johnstone, however, they had been his only goals in 12 appearances in all competitions. He won over many fans at the weekend at Fir Park after smashing home a cracking winner within seconds of emerging off the bench in Celtic's 3-2 victory at Motherwell.

New beginning

"I've been waiting for goals so I'm happy. I hope this can be the start of a new beginning for me," he told the club's official website. "I've been working hard and have always been confident of my ability to do well for Celtic. The boss has been playing Scott McDonald and Georgios Samaras and I have to accept that. "But every striker wants to play. When I get a game I try my best. We want to win the title back and we have the players to top the table."
