Spurs midfielder makes loan switch to London Road

Peterborough have completed the signing of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jake Livermore on loan until the end of the season. The Championship strugglers had agreed the deal earlier in the week and have now finalised the paperwork to bring in the 20-year-old. Livermore spent the first half of the season on loan at Derby County, scoring once in 16 appearances for Nigel Clough's side. He will now join Posh for a training camp in Tenerife and could make his debut for the club against Derby next weekend. Posh boss Mark Cooper told the club's official website: "Jake will give us a bit more bite in midfield, which will certainly give us another option. "He is a box-to-box midfielder and we are delighted to have him on board." Meanwhile, Mark Cooper has confirmed the club are interested in Aston Villa right-back Eric Lichaj. The 21-year-old American is yet to make his Villa first-team debut but has done well in a recent loan spell at League Two Lincoln and Posh hope to bring him in until the end of the season. Cooper told the Peterborough Telegraph: "He is definitely one we're after but he's in and around the Villa squad and we're trying to persuade them to let him out." Defender Danny Blanchett has joined Blue Square Premier club AFC Wimbledon on loan for the remainder of the season.
