Keeper happy window is closed

Keiren Westwood admits he did not expect to leave Coventry after the transfer window closed without him moving. The highly-rated keeper was tipped by many to complete a move to the top flight, with several Premier League clubs rumoured to be interested. Tottenham reportedly made a last-ditch bid for the 25-year-old which was rejected by Sky Blues chairman Ray Ranson. But Westwood was never drawn in by the speculation as he focuses on helping Coventry climb the Championship table. "I didn't think I was going anywhere and it wouldn't have been in my hands even if I did," Westwood told the Coventry Telegraph. "It's business as usual. I have never had my head turned by any of the speculation so I will just carry on as normal. "I have come from the Conference and worked my way back up to the Championship so I have never really taken much notice of it."
