Bhoys ace confident of Ibrox victory

Celtic ace Niall McGinn admits this weekend's Old Firm showdown with Rangers is a must-win encounter for his side. Tony Mowbray's men travel to Ibrox on Sunday, live on Sky Sports 1 & HD1, knowing their title aspirations could be decided this weekend. Celtic go into the game seven points adrift of their Glasgow rivals and they cannot afford to slip any further behind Walter Smith's troops. McGinn is optimistic Celtic can gain the right result at Ibrox and that everyone in the squad is relishing the third Old Firm clash of the season. "It is massive game this weekend," McGinn told skysports.com ."We are seven points behind Rangers but if we win it will be down to four and we want to keep the gap as close as possible. "It is a must-win game otherwise we will have a mountain to climb if we want to win the title. "All the boys are looking forward to the game and there is a good buzz in training. "It will be a new experience for the new boys like Diomansy Kamara and Robbie Keane, but these types of games are made for players like them." Northern Ireland international McGinn is battling to shake off a thigh problem to be fit for the game and he is hoping to experience his first taste of the Old Firm derby. "I picked up a bit of a thigh problem earlier this week, but I am hoping to be back in training on Friday," added McGinn. "I was a sub in the last Old Firm game and I would love to be involved this weekend. "Growing up as a Celtic fan these were the type of games you wanted to play in and I am sure it will be a great occasion at Ibrox."
