Defender relishes different experience to Terry

On-loan Wolves defender Michael Mancienne believes that scrapping for Premier League survival will give him an edge in experience over the likes of John Terry. The 22-year-old, who is at Molineux on a temporary deal from Chelsea, was a part of the Wolves side that defeated fellow strugglers West Ham on Tuesday. Mick McCarthy's side are now seven points clear of the drop zone as they edge towards safety, and Mancienne thinks he has benefited from the basement battle. The England Under 21 centre-back said in The Sun: "I am maturing and playing first-team football. It's a massive thing for me. "And an experience like this has helped me grow up. A relegation fight is something players like JT (Terry) haven't experienced and it is helping me to mature. "When I play against Everton on Saturday I'll be stronger for this."
