Bayern Munich star Arjen Robben is expected to be fit for the return meeting with Manchester United.

Van Gaal's side will travel to Schalke with 'no injuries'

Bayern Munich star Arjen Robben is 'doing well' in his recovery from injury and would appear to be set to face Manchester United in the return leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final. The winger missed Tuesday's first-leg victory over United with a calf problem, but he is ready to return to manager Louis van Gaal's side for Saturday's match against Bundesliga leaders Schalke. Robben's return will come as a major boost to Bayern, with the Dutch winger having proved a revelation since his arrival in Germany from Real Madrid last summer. Some have suggested that the former Chelsea man's form has even placed Franck Ribery in the shadows, so visiting Schalke without any fitness concerns will put a smile on the face of Van Gaal.

Tailwind

"Arjen is doing well, he has no problems for Saturday," he said in Kicker. "We travel to Schalke with no injuries." Bayern sit two points behind Schalke going into Saturday's match, but club president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge believes the victory over United can spur the team on to bigger things. "We will have a tailwind behind us going to Schalke on Saturday," he said. "We want to go there and emerge as league leaders. This is a very big game, but we know our team has quality and is able to win these games."
