Versatile veteran bidding to maintain momentum in survival bid

Graham Alexander insists Burnley are not getting carried away after beating Hull City and insists Saturday's 4-1 win will mean nothing if they do not build upon the result in their final four games of the season. The Clarets' player-coach fired home two second-half penalties as the promoted club gave their hopes of extending their stay in the Premier League a shot in the arm with their first away triumph of the season at the KC Stadium. But Alexander has urged Brian Laws' side to keep up the momentum and replicate the Tigers mauling in each of their remaining fixtures. "If we don't follow this up then it means nothing," the 38-year-old Scotland international told The Lancashire Telegraph. "We've got to show the same level of commitment and aggression at Sunderland next week. "We're keeping the picture small. It's no good thinking about the summer or next season, we've got four games to go and that's what we're going to concentrate on. "If we think we've broken the back of it we're wrong. We've got to take everything we did at Hull into the next four games, starting next week, and hopefully it will go for us."
