Hibs front man on the radar of clubs overseas and in England

Skysports.com understands Hibernian forward Derek Riordan is attracting serious interest from both England and overseas. The 26-year-old has caught the eye with a series of bright displays this term and having scored 16 goals in a campaign where he has often been used in a wide left role, is understandably not shy of suitors. Riordan, who was fined by the club earlier in the season for criticising the state of the Easter Road pitch, has said in the past he would favour a central striking berth. With a year left on his existing deal in Edinburgh it has been intimated Hibs could elect to sell him now rather than risk losing him for nothing in 12 months' time. Hibs would be loath to lose their star performer but they could face a fight to keep hold of him if one of Riordan's suitors make a firm bid for his services. Clubs in both Germany and China are known to be monitoring the situation, while a number of Championship sides are also rumoured to be keen.
