James Vaughan says he would be happy to return to Leicester City on loan next season if he is not part of Everton's first-team plans.
The striker has made six substitute appearances since joining the Foxes in March and he scored his first goal for the club in last week's 4-1 win over Watford.
He is expected to start his first game for Leicester against Preston North End on Saturday and is hoping to help Nigel Pearson's side secure a play-off place.
Vaughan will then hold talks with his Everton manager David Moyes at the end of the season to determine whether he will be involved at Goodison Park next term.
And, if Moyes feels his career would benefit from another loan spell, then Vaughan would be keen to return to the Walkers Stadium.
"I am contracted to Everton and I will go back at the end of the season," the 21-year-old told the
Leicester Mercury.
"But if the gaffer decides he wants me to go out on loan again, then that is fine. If not, I will fight for my place at Everton.
"I have really enjoyed my time here and if the gaffer wanted me to go out on loan again then I would love to come back here.
"I am really enjoying it. The lads have made me feel very welcome and that has made it so much easier to settle in."
