Luis Boa Morte has apologised to David Sullivan following his criticism of the West Ham United chairman at the weekend.
Portuguese winger Boa Morte expressed his unhappiness with Sullivan on Sunday following the 1-1 draw with Manchester City in the final game of the Premier League season.
Boa Morte called on Sullivan to show 'a bit more composure' following the West Ham co-owner's recent public criticism of the players after a poor season at Upton Park.
However, the 32-year-old has now phoned Sullivan to apologise for his outburst and the conversation, according to West Ham, was "cordial".
The club also reported that Boa Morte accepted his comments had been based on a "misunderstanding of the facts" and in a moment of high emotion.
Sullivan said: "I greatly admire Luis as a player and he takes the passion he shows on the pitch into his personal life.
"Like me occasionally it boils over - so I know exactly where he is coming from."
Boa Morte's appearance against City was his first of the season and he marked his comeback from a knee injury with the Hammers' goal.
But the game is likely to be the former Fulham man's last for West Ham as he is not expected to be offered an extension to his contract which expires in the summer.
