Former Chelsea midfielder looking for new club

Joe Cole's future will be decided within the next three weeks, according to the player's agent. Cole learned his seven-year Chelsea career was over after the Premier League champions announced he would be leaving Stamford Bridge when his contract expired. It was reported the Londoners were not prepared to match the England midfielder's wage demands, meaning his stay will officially end on Wednesday and Cole will be free to join another club. Cole made two substitue appearances for England during their disastrous World Cup campaign as many clamoured for the former West Ham star to earn a starting spot in Fabio Capello's side. Several sides are believed to be circling for the midfielder's services, with North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham believed to be leading the chase. But nothing will be sorted in the immediate days, according to Kevin Giesse, who will negotiate a deal on the 28-year-old's behalf. Giesse revealed his client had offers from overseas to ponder and nothing would be sorted prior to the conclusion of the World Cup finals. "For now there is no news," Giesse told calciomercato.com. "The boy has just returned from South Africa and now he will go on holiday. There are clubs interested in him, we are talking about a world-class player. "I think by the end of the World Cup there will be developments and within two to three weeks there will be some news. "Are AC Milan and Juventus interested? All negotiations are possible and that is not garbage. "Several English clubs have asked for information, but at the moment nobody has moved concretely. After the World Cup we'll be going to reach conclusions."
