Algeria ace has not fractured skull

Hearts have been boosted by the news that defender Ismael Bouzid has been given the all-clear after fears he fractured his skull against Millwall. The Algeria international was stretchered from the field in Saturday's 3-2 win at The Den following a challenge with Steve Morison on 30 minutes. He was taken to hospital in London and kept in overnight but tests revealed there is no fracture and he was able to return to Scotland on Sunday. Bouzid made 26 SPL starts for Hearts last season and manager Jim Jefferies will be delighted that he is no longer in danger of missing the start of the new campaign. "We are obviously relieved to hear that Ismael's injury is not as bad as feared and we look forward to welcoming him home," a club spokesman told the club's official website. "We'd like to sincerely thank Millwall for their support - the club were absolutely first class in providing us with help during a very difficult situation over the last few hours for which we're really grateful."
