Ludovic Sylvestre is set to sign a two-year contract with Blackpool on Monday, according to his agent.

Playmaker said to be on the verge of two-year deal

Midfielder Ludovic Sylvestre is set to sign a two-year contract with Premier League newcomers Blackpool on Monday, according to his agent. The 26-year-old playmaker, who is currently on the books of Czech Republic side Mlada Boleslav, is said to be undergoing his medical at the start of the week. Barcelona youth Academy graduate Sylvestre is then expected to agree a contract at Bloomfield Road as manager Ian Holloway prepares for a first game of the season at Wigan. Sylvestre's representative, Pavel Zika, told sport.cz: "The transfer has been about to happen for the past week. "Ludovic is to undergo a medical on Monday and then he will sign a two-year contract with the club." Sylvestre, who moved from Barcelona to Sparta Prague, said: "Naturally it is a big call for me, something new. "The Czech chapter of my career is over and I would like to thank everyone at Mlada Boleslav. "I have been happy playing here and will have good memories. It is difficult to leave Mlada Boleslav as I have a lot of friends there, but this is football life."
