Pulis in talks for former Blues & Spurs star

Skysports.com understands Stoke are in talks to sign Eidur Gudjohnsen from Monaco. Gudjohnsen spent the second half of last season on loan at Tottenham after falling down the pecking order at Monaco. Spurs were expected to try and make Gudjohnsen's move permanent, but the deal failed to materialise and the Icelandic international was forced to return to Monaco. Gudjohnsen is well down the pecking order at Monaco and the French side are willing to let him move on. A number of clubs have been linked with a move for Gudjohnsen, including Fulham and Rangers, but it seems Stoke are at the head of the queue for the former Chelsea man. Stoke boss Tony Pulis is keen to bolster his attacking options before the close of the transfer window and he has lined up a deal for Gudjohnsen.
