Stoke City have been boosted by the news that Ricardo Fuller's shoulder injury is not as bad as initially feared.
The Jamaican striker came on as a second-half substitute in Sunday's 2-1 win at Newcastle, but lasted just 18 minutes before being helped off.
The striker suffered a shoulder injury and it had been feared that the 30-year-old had sustained a fracture.
However, it has emerged he only suffered a dislocated shoulder and manager Tony Pulis is hopeful of a short spell on the sidelines.
Fuller dislocated his shoulder two years ago against Sunderland and returned to action within 10 days on that occasion.
