Latics boss praises winger's attitude

Wigan manager Roberto Martinez insists wantaway winger Charles N'Zogbia has earned back the respect of his team-mates since the transfer window slammed shut. The French midfielder was on the verge of joining Premier League rivals Birmingham in the summer, only for the deal to break down at the last minute. N'Zogbia still publicly stated that he is using Wigan merely as 'a springboard' to launch his career. However, Martinez insists the 24-year-old should be praised for the way he has worked to win back the respect of his team-mates. He said: "The moment the window closed I could see a completely different outlook regarding Charles' situation. The players saw exactly the same. "He earned the respect of his team-mates and that is what is important. It is not about individuals, it is about the team. He has worked really hard to get back into the side. "He is a good example of any footballer who has suffered from instability during the transfer window. That is something we should give him credit for."
