Scans reveal no broken bones for Clarets ace

Burnley have welcomed the news that Andre Bikey did not suffer a broken rib against Millwall on Saturday. The Cameroon international sustained a knock during the opening exchanges of the Clarets' 1-1 draw with the Lions. Fears were initially raised that the versatile defensive ace had suffered a blow which would keep him sidelined for some time. However, scans have uncovered nothing worse than heavy bruising and Bikey has now been cleared to head off on international duty. Burnley boss Brian Laws told the club's official website: "We kept Andre down in London for X-rays on his damaged rib. "It has come back as just bruising, which is good news. "Andre will still go to Cameroon on international duty, but we hope he should be fit and well for our next league game against Sheffield United."
