Maxi Lopez's agent admits his client could leave Catania next summer, but only for a top club.

Argentine forward prepared to move on if 'top club' comes calling

Maxi Lopez's agent admits his client could leave Catania next summer, but only for a top club. The Argentine forward is hot property at the moment, having made quite an impression in Italy following his arrival back in January. He has been a regular source of goals in Serie A and is reported to be attracting interest from across Europe. The 26-year-old's agent has revealed that a switch could be on the cards at the end of the season, with the Premier League a possible destination. "In June, he will only leave Catania to go to a top club," Dario Bombini told Itasportpress.it. "On a technical level, I think the Premier League would be better for Maxi than La Liga or the Bundesliga. "But it depends on the offers that are likely to come from Italy and the rest of Europe."

Rumours

One club Lopez will definitely not be joining is Real Madrid, with Bombini admitting that the former Barcelona man would find it difficult to turn out for Los Blancos. "What would happen if Real Madrid called? There is no chance he would go there," added Bombini. "His heart still beats for Barcelona after his experience at Camp Nou." On another of the sides to be heavily linked with a move for the South American star, Bombini added: "Napoli? I don't know about that, it is too early to say what will happen."
