West Ham United have recalled striker Frank Nouble from his three-month loan stint at Swansea City.

Striker could be involved in Carling Cup tie against Stoke

West Ham United have recalled teenage striker Frank Nouble from his three-month loan stint at Swansea City. Nouble linked up with the Swans in September and was due to stay with the Championship club until just before Christmas. However, West Ham's injury problems have seen the 19-year-old summoned back to Upton Park ahead of Wednesday's Carling Cup tie with Stoke City. The forward could now be on the bench for the fourth-round encounter as the Premier League's bottom club seek a boost. During his time at Swansea, Nouble made six appearances and his only goal was the decisive effort in the 3-2 victory at Watford. He has made 10 appearances during his West Ham career to date and also had loan spells at West Brom and Swindon Town last season.
