Seasiders forward still faces lengthy spell out

Blackpool striker Billy Clarke admits his frustration with the slow progress of his recovery from injury. The 23-year-old Tangerines forward could miss the entire Premier League campaign as he tries to overcome a serious knee problem. The former Republic of Ireland Under-21 international underwent cruciate ligament surgery during the summer and still faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines. "I still have another four, five or six months left. It's a slow process," he told Blackpool's official website. "It is really tough sometimes, but I am not the worst off. You look at other people around and it could be worse. "I just have to keep spirits up and the lads and manager are good for that." Former Ipswich youngster Clarke moved to Bloomfield Road last summer after being released by the Tractor Boys. Blackpool are currently 14th in the Premier League and take on West Brom at home next Monday.
