Sheffield Wednesday striker Marcus Tudgay has joined Nottingham Forest on loan until January.
The deal to take the 27-year-old to the City Ground includes the option for a permanent agreement to be struck in the New Year.
Both sides were keen to push through a move, with Wednesday experiencing financial difficulties and Forest keen to bolster their attacking ranks.
The Owls desperately need to address their mounting debts and the removal of a high-earner such as Tudgay will aid their cause.
Forest, meanwhile, have seen Dexter Blackstock ruled out for at least a year with a knee ligament injury and need to find cover in the final third.

Wednesday boss Alan Irvine has confirmed that a switch has gone through, telling the
Sheffield Star: "He's gone to Forest on loan until January with a view to a permanent deal.
"They came in for him; we were in a position where it would have been very difficult to stop that happening. Marcus was keen to go, as I'm sure everybody could understand.
"It was felt to be in the best interests of the club as well as Marcus. Going to a club who are competing at the top end of the Championship is something that I would think he would want to do regardless of whether or not he was in our team."
With the loan window set to close on Thursday evening, reports suggest Forest are still looking to bring in one more striker, with Leicester's Matty Fryatt believed to top their wish list.
