Holland winger eyes new year return for Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich are hoping to welcome back a fully-fit Arjen Robben after the winter break. Robben, 26, has not played since he ruptured his hamstring during the World Cup final against Spain in the summer. The Holland international has been in light training for the last month and will join the rest of the squad in their winter training camp in Qatar in early January. It is hoped the 2010 German Player of the Year will be available for the game against Wolfsburg on January 15th. And with the Bundesliga champions currently 17 points adrift of leaders Borussia Dortmund, his return cannot come quick enough. "Arjen is about to start training with the team," said Bayern sporting director Christian Nerlinger. "It looks very likely that he will be able to join in three or four times with the team before Christmas."
