Winger more than happy to stay on at DW

Tom Cleverley has admitted he would be more than happy to remain on loan at Wigan rather than return to Manchester United. The England Under-21 international agreed a season-long deal to join the Latics in the summer. And the winger revealed although he has yet to hear from his parent club about a possible return to Old Trafford, he is expected to meet up with Sir Alex Ferguson soon. He told the Wigan Evening Post: "I've not heard anything yet but I think the manager (Ferguson) want to see me at the end of the month.

Confident

"All I can do is play when I'm asked to play and train when I'm asked to train, and let the rest take care of itself. "If I do end up staying at Wigan, though, I'd be more than happy to do that. "I've just found my goalscoring boots and I'm feeling very confident in front of goal at the moment. "I'm just looking to play as many games as possible, hopefully try and chip in with a few goals and help Wigan to win as many games as we can."
