Whites boss wants left-back to return on loan

Leeds manager Simon Grayson admits he is trying to bring Sunderland defender George McCartney back on loan. The 29-year-old left-back made 17 appearances for the Whites after arriving on loan at the end of September but his loan at Elland Road is set to expire. Boss Grayson is currently negotiating with the Black Cats to recapture the Northern Ireland international, after being impressed with McCartney during his time at the club. Grayson said: "I've spoken to Steve Bruce and negotiations are ongoing. "I'd like to bring him back if it's possible that we can sort something out and come to an agreement because he's done well. "He can't play against Middlesbrough so that will give someone else a chance. "There's a few options. (Andrew)) Hughesy, Ben Parker and Fede Bessone are all in contention."
