Scunthorpe boss Ian Baraclough has ended his interest in signing Bristol Rovers striker Will Hoskins.

Baraclough turns attention to other striking targets

Scunthorpe United manager Ian Baraclough has ended his interest in signing Bristol Rovers striker Will Hoskins. Skysports.com revealed last month that Scunthorpe had seen an offer for Hoskins rejected and the Iron have subsequently had two further bids turned down. Rovers are determined to keep Hoskins, who has scored 14 goals since his arrival from Watford last summer, and Baraclough will now move on to other targets. Baraclough has also ended his interest in signing Brighton forward Glenn Murray and believes the Iron had made a fair offer for Hoskins. "We have been in three times for Hoskins," Baraclough told the Scunthorpe Telegraph. "We have made what we feel is a fair offer. "I think it is fair to say Rovers, with a new manager just come in, do not want to part with the player. "We have now moved on to different targets. The Hoskins interest is dead."
