Birmingham City midfielder Michel has joined Greek side AEK Athens on loan until the end of the season.
The 25-year-old playmaker, full name Miguel Marcos Madera, joined Birmingham in January but has failed to make an impact under Alex McLeish.
The former Sporting Gijon player has flown to Greece where he will join up with his new team-mates.
Michel has made just two appearances this season but will hope to play his way back into his manager's plans at the Greek giants.
"I'm happy to have joined AEK, a team which plays in Europe. It is a well-known club with history in Greece and Europe," said Michel.
"I've come to play until the summer and we'll see after then."
