Johan Elmander has declared that he feels 'no obligation' towards Bolton as he waits for the club to sort out a new contract offer.
The Swedish striker's current deal expires at the end of the season and speculation has been mounting steadily that he could secure a move elsewhere.
No offers came in during the January transfer window and Owen Coyle has previously indicated that he believes the player wants to stay beyond the summer.
Elmander admits there have been talks over an extension but nothing has been agreed yet and he feels the club could have done more.
The 29-year-old would appear to be prepared to consider other options if the matter remains unresolved.
"I don't feel any obligation towards Bolton," Elmander, who has enjoyed his best season since arriving in 2008, said in The Sun.
"They have had the chance to do something about a new deal.
"We've had dialogue but not right now."
