Barnsley have signed defender Paul McShane from Championship rivals Hull City on a two-month loan deal.
McShane joins the Tykes to provide cover in Mark Robins' squad after Stephen Foster was ruled out for several weeks due to injury.
Republic of Ireland international McShane has made 19 appearances for Hull this season, but has been on the periphery in recent weeks.
He has started only one game in 2011 for the Tigers and the capture of Jack Hobbs on loan from Leicester City has further reduced his opportunities at the KC Stadium.
The former Sunderland stopper could make his debut for Barnsley in Saturday's Championship encounter away to Portsmouth.
