Nicky Shorey has revealed his delight at being reinstated to the West Brom team by Roy Hodgson.
The 30-year-old had been overlooked by previous manager Roberto Di Matteo in favour of Marek Cech.
Shorey, though, has previously played under Hodgson at Fulham where he had a loan spell and his performances there clearly left an impression on his boss.
Having gained two caps for England and a big money move to Aston Villa in 2008, Shorey's career spectacularly stalled.

Loan deals to Nottingham Forest and Fulham only served to temporarily revive his career, while his summer move to West Brom looked in danger of yielding little playing time until the recent arrival of Hodgson.
"I'm really happy to be back in the side," he told the
Birmingham Daily Mail.
"I've played the last three or four games now and I'm delighted to be given that chance to play again.
"It was frustrating before when I was out of the team.
"Some managers like different players. A new manager comes in and people get a chance, which is nice to see."
He added: "I've had a chance and am now doing all I can to make the most of it.
"Roy Hodgson goes about his business in a certain way and makes sure he gets the lads ready throughout the week and we work hard on team stuff and what we are going to do on Saturday."
