Paul Rachubka has handed Blackpool boss Ian Holloway a boost with his knee injury not as serious as first feared.
The goalkeeper missed the fist half of the season with a knee problem and there were concerns that he had suffered a recurrence in training last month.
But scans have allayed those worries and the former Manchester United trainee has already returned to training with the Seasiders.
Current No.1 Richard Kingson sustained only minor hamstring damage in the 3-1 defeat against Chelsea on Monday and should be fit to face Blackburn, while Matt Gilks is almost back to full fitness following a broken kneecap.
Bonus
Holloway is happy to have more strength in depth for his last line of defence as the Bloomfield Road outfit for the final nine games of the season.
He told the Blackpool Gazette: "It's a bonus because at one point we were scrambling around asking the Premier League if we could sign a keeper on emergency loan.
"Thankfully we can put that behind us and I should have some good choices in goal for the rest of the season."
Blackpool are currently just one point above the drop zone as the Premier League relegation battle promises to go down to the wire.
